Training Center Interviews and Deadlines for Resumes

Don’t miss your opportunity to become a BAC Local 23 Training Instructor! This is your chance to be a part of growing our great union and helping to train the next generation of craftworkers. Resumes are due by 5 p.m. on July 11 and interviews will begin soon after.

Interviews for former and potential new instructors will be on July 15 for the Northern Training Center and July 17 for the Southern Training Center and West Virginia Training Center.

The votes are continuing to roll in as members make their voices heard in our official Local 23 survey! Members are voting on a new logo, and it’s close. Right now, Logo #1 is in the lead with a thin margin over Logo #2. Don’t miss your chance to vote! Fill out the survey today. The survey allows you to vote on the new logo, and so much more…

1. A New Logo: We are giving you three options of logos to vote on and the winner will become the new Local 23 logo.
2. Confirming Contact Info: We are asking all members to confirm and update their contact information – email, cell, and address – so that we make sure when we send out important union information, you are receiving it.
3. Feedback From Members: We want to hear from you about your top priorities and concerns for our union moving forward.
4. Raffle Entry: All members who complete and submit the survey will automatically be entered into a raffle. First prize: 65” Flat Screen TV. Second Prize: Level. Third Prize: Trowel. To be entered into the raffle, the survey must be completed by no later than July 15 at 11:59 p.m.

We hope all members take a few minutes out of their day to complete this survey.

Local 23 is hosting a Stewards’ Class on Saturday July 19th, 2025, at the Tri-State Chapter in Ashland, KY. The address is 134 16th Street Ashland, KY 41101 and will start at 8 a.m. Snacks and lunch will be provided to everyone who attends. This class is open to all Local 23 members. LMR Construction, a union contractor out of Chardon, Ohio, is hiring bricklayers in four cities in northeast Ohio.

LMR is looking to hire 15 workers immediately with plans to eventually bring on about 30 workers.

These include two jobs in Brecksville, two jobs in Avon, one in Warrensville Heights, and three or more in downtown Cleveland.
